Virginia American Dogwood Card

The idea for the State Flower Collection came from a quote I read when traveling through the beautifully flowered highways in East Texas near Austin. The quote is by Lady Bird Johnson which reads, “Where flowers bloom so does hope.” I found the quote to be truly inspiring and the starting point for the collection. As First Lady, Lady Bird started a beautification project to improve conditions in Washington D.C.
